Managing the Zombie Apocalypse Is a Night-Shift Job

The world has fallen to zombies, but someone still has to clean up the mess.

Players join Undead Cleaning Services Inc. as a manager responsible for recruiting part-time graveyard-shift cleaners. The workers attack automatically while following their manager through zombie-infested streets.

Each run revolves around recruitment, equipment, stat upgrades, contracts, and money. A successful crew gradually becomes a more efficient automatic cleaning operation.

The roguelite structure encourages players to revisit the same basic challenge with different managers, recruits, equipment, and difficulty modifiers rather than relying on a single fixed build.

Survival is therefore only half of the job. Building a crew capable of functioning under increasingly chaotic conditions is equally important.

Ten Managers Change How the Crew Behaves

Undead Night Crew features 10 different managers, each with their own management style.

Their differences extend beyond appearance. Managers have distinct statistics, abilities, and follower patterns that change how the supporting crew moves around them.

Steam uses personalities such as “We are a family” and “Party animal” as examples, turning familiar workplace stereotypes into gameplay modifiers.

Because followers attack automatically, the manager still has to handle positioning, movement, and crowd avoidance.

The result sits somewhere between a survivors-like and squad management: direct attacking is reduced, but controlling where the entire crew moves becomes more important.

Recruit Up to 30 Support Characters

Each run can provide access to as many as 30 support characters.

Workers come from different professional backgrounds, and placing characters from the same industry together can activate special synergy abilities.

This makes recruitment more than a simple search for the strongest individual unit. A lower-impact character may become more valuable when completing a particular crew combination.

The system also expands in multiplayer because every participant controls a manager and their own followers.

Four players can therefore bring four separate crews into the same session, multiplying both the available synergies and the amount of visual chaos on screen.

Online Co-op Supports Up to Four Players

Undead Night Crew supports both solo play and online co-op for up to four players.

Players can host their own lobby or join another session. Everyone controls a separate manager with an independently assembled crew.

Steam also lists Cross-Platform Multiplayer among the game's current features.

Galore Interactive says Undead Night Crew uses its GONet Legendary multiplayer technology in production, including networking systems built for the Steam version.

The exact cross-platform matrix has not been detailed, however, so support between Windows, macOS, and any other potential environments should wait for final launch information.

Clause Points Let Players Make the Next Shift Worse

Once ordinary zombie hordes stop being enough, Clause Points can modify future runs.

They add stage hazards, unique zombie variants, and other conditions designed to make the shift more difficult.

This gives progression a second direction. Players can improve their crew while deliberately increasing the danger they must handle.

The system should help keep later runs from becoming static once powerful combinations have been discovered.

Dummy Dojo has not yet published the complete Clause list, maximum difficulty structure, or the rewards tied to more demanding configurations.

The Clean-Up Truck Offers a More Direct Solution

Sometimes navigating around the horde is not enough.

Undead Cleaning Services also has a Clean-Up Truck, allowing players to drive through groups of zombies rather than constantly weaving around them on foot.

The vehicle breaks up the normal survivors-like rhythm and gives the crew another way to deal with crowded streets.

Promotional material also teases substantially larger threats later in a shift.

Bosses, the final number of stages, environments, contract types, and the complete campaign structure have not yet been detailed.

A Free Demo Is Available Now

Players can already sample the game through the free Undead Night Crew Demo on Steam.

The demo originally launched on October 28, 2025 and later received substantial changes for Steam Next Fest, including a new round objective, unlock progression, new interactables, manager adjustments, crew progression changes, and Clause-system revisions.

It supports single-player, online co-op, and cross-platform multiplayer.

The demo currently lists eight interface languages: English, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, Latin American Spanish, French, Brazilian Portuguese, and European Portuguese.

The unreleased full game's Steam page currently lists only English, Simplified Chinese, and Latin American Spanish, so the final language lineup may still change before Q4.

Why This Matters

1) It turns survivors-like combat into crew management

The player does not simply stack upgrades onto one character. Building and positioning a group of automatic fighters is central to every run.

2) Jobs create gameplay synergies

Recruiting workers from matching industries unlocks additional effects, giving every hiring decision a strategic purpose.

3) Four players means four separate crews

Co-op adds more than extra human characters because every player brings their own manager and follower group.

4) Difficulty is partly player-controlled

Clause Points let established players increase hazards and zombie variety when their strongest builds need a tougher test.
