Minamito's four-panel manga Naan Mou Umaku Ikan! (なーんもうまくいかん！) is preparing to receive its first collected volume. Volume 1 launches in Japan on September 26, 2026, and Manga Time Kirara has now shown off its official cover.

The Volume 1 artwork turns the “nothing is going right” premise into its main visual gag.
Nako stands defeated on the sidewalk while spilled milk, a banana peel, a bird carrying toast, and other little disruptions pile up around her. The large pink Japanese lettering crosses the scene as if adding one more layer of disorder.
The phrase “NOTHING IS GOING RIGHT!” appears at the top as an English cover tagline rather than a confirmed official English title.
Fubin Nako Overthinks Almost Everything
Houbunsha's official synopsis introduces Nako as a girl who has only just started high school but already struggles because she thinks too deeply about situations and pays too much attention to everyone around her.
She understands that part of the problem comes from herself. Knowing that, however, does not make it any easier for her to simply relax.
That tension drives the comedy: ordinary school situations become much harder than they need to be because Nako imagines too many possibilities, makes the wrong move, or runs into another piece of bad luck.
From Popular Guest Series to Regular Serialization
Naan Mou Umaku Ikan! first appeared as a four-episode guest series beginning with Manga Time Kirara's September 2025 issue.
The response was strong enough for Houbunsha to promote it into an ongoing title. Regular serialization began in the January 2026 issue, released on December 9, 2025.
Volume 1 therefore marks the first collected milestone after its move from a guest run into Manga Time Kirara's regular lineup.

Naan Mou Umaku Ikan! received a center-color feature in Manga Time Kirara's August 2026 issue.
Houbunsha then noted that the manga would take a scheduled break in the following issue and return in the October 2026 issue.
That places the release of Volume 1 at the end of September very close to Nako's return to the magazine.
