Season 2 Key Visual and Teaser PV

Akane Enters the Zenza Training Arc

Season 2 moves beyond Akane's high-school life. After graduating, she formally becomes part of Shiguma's school and begins working as a rakugo performer under the name Arakawa Akane.

Her new environment is Yasakatei, a traditional yose where rakugo performances take place regularly and where she must learn the fundamentals of professional life as a zenza.

The Key Visual Marks Her Move Into the Professional World

The new visual places Akane in front of Yasakatei while Karashi, Hikaru and experienced rakugo performers appear around her.

That setting immediately distinguishes Season 2 from the previous phase of the story. Akane is no longer simply proving that she can perform—she now has to survive and develop inside the professional rakugo world itself.

Asagao and Hassho Join Season 2

The teaser PV also introduces two new characters.

Konjakutei Asagao is voiced by Taku Yashiro, while Tsubakiya Hassho is voiced by Yoji Ueda. Both join the professional environment surrounding Akane during her training.

The teaser provides the first anime voice preview for both characters.

Why This Matters

1) Akane's status has fundamentally changed

She is no longer simply trying to enter rakugo. Season 2 begins after she has officially stepped into the profession.

2) Yasakatei expands the world of the series

The yose environment, performer hierarchy and responsibilities of a zenza introduce a different side of rakugo from the competitions of Season 1.

3) Two new characters debut directly in the teaser

Asagao and Hassho expand the group of professionals surrounding Akane.
